1. Google Cash: AdWords and Affiliate Marketing w/out a site
I've just finished reading Chris Carpenter's new e-book
on how to make thousands using Google Adwords without a
website, without optimizing pages, and without writing articles... and I
must tell you that I am excited about what I've read.
|
 |
If you do not have a web site yet, and want to start generating results
quickly, this is clearly the way to go. If you like the concept of
Affiliate Marketing, but you don't have the time or skills to
build your own site from scratch,
you must grab a copy of this
brand-new ebook today. |
And Chris does not hold back any information - he actually tells you
exactly how he does it...
Do you want a specific example?
Well,
Chris conducted a search with Overture's Germany Keyword Suggestion free
Tool and discovered that the keyword 'ebay' was searched almost
694.000 times during January 2003, from people based in Germany.
However, there were no bids - which means that he could buy an ad in
Germany for only €0.10 (about 10 cents). Next, Chris visited Google.de and
searched for 'ebay'. That's when he realized that there were no
Google Adwords whatsoever for this term.
So, Chris visited Ebay.de and signed as an affiliate (the program pays €4
per lead, i.e. almost $5).
His next step was drafting an ad (in German) for Google Adwords, so that
it'd show up at Google.de, every time someone conducts a search about 'ebay'.
Any visitor clicking at the ad would end up visiting Ebay in Germany
directly, via Chris' affiliate link.
Two days later, Chris visited both his Google Adwords account and Ebay.de
and in his e-book, he actually provides a screen shot of all transactions
at both sites, confirming that he actually generated a profit of $638 for
those initial two days, representing a conversion rate of 20%
In short, if you are getting impatient for fast results on the Internet,
this is clearly the way to go.

Google Cash. Click

Remember, what you'll learn with "Google Cash"
is applicable to both AdWords and Overture - the only difference being the
fact that AdWords allows you to advertise the merchant directly,
i.e. without the need for the affiliate having his/her own site.

2. Yahoo acquires Overture...
As you know, Yahoo purchased Overture this week for $1.63 billion.
This is
an incredible sum, if one takes into consideration the fact that Overture
has about 88,000 advertisers.
Remember, Google Adwords was able to sign up about 100,000 advertisers
in 12 months - and probably most of those being the same advertisers
who were already advertising on Overture...
Given the increasing importance of pay-per-click and permission marketing,
together with the fact that it's becoming more and more difficult to
contact people by email due to stiffer competition within your overflowing
Inbox (where legitimate and spam email are
all fighting for your attention), what can one expect in the near future?
[Side note: I hope
your option is not going to be the one of hitting the dreadful 'Delete'
key, every time you see my name in your Inbox!] ;o)
Well, I wouldn't be surprised if a major
powerhouse such as MSN acquires Google...
Remember, this recent acquisition is a major blow to Google, as Yahoo is
their major affiliate.
And surely Yahoo is not spending $1.63 billion
on search technology / Overture and then simply carry on with
'business-as-usual' - i.e. providing Google results to their visitors...
Currently Yahoo (which shows Google results) has about 29% of all search
engine audience reach. Google also receives about 29% reach through their
own site.
As soon as Yahoo drops Google from their search results, Google's
influence on the Internet will drop significantly, because the combined
58% reach that Google currently enjoys (due to Yahoo) will be cut in half.
And your Google traffic may possibly drop
by 50% within the next few weeks...
I suppose that's why Google is pushing so
hard for Adwords to be placed on major content sites after a
search takes place, and for Adsense to be placed also on
(smaller) content sites when the consumer is surfing.
Unfortunately, small publishers can not place Google Adwords at their
sites after a search takes place.
By the way, please leave your experiences
on Google AdSense at our forum, ok?

interesting discussion thread going on. Click here!
And have you got issues about this recent Yahoo acquisition that you'd
like to raise at our forum? Great. Your ideas are most
welcome!
