Google AdWords has recently announced a very profound new affiliate policy change...

From now on, they'll only display one ad per search query for affiliates and merchants sharing the same destination landing webpage. The implications of this policy change is that, if a user searches for, e.g. "Internet business ideas" on the AdWords search and content networks, Google will take an inventory of ads running for such keyword phrase. If they find that two or more ads compete under the same landing web page, they'll display the ad with the highest Ad Rank.

Furthermore, you no longer need to identify yourself as an affiliate in your ad text. Yep! And although I have hundreds of text ads in the AdWords search and content networks, I've removed from all of them the usual 'aff' status text - which was compulsory to insert, last year...

I know you are probably wondering "What's in it for me?", with this new affiliate policy change...

Well, as I do know you are a home-based netrepreneur looking for innovative online business ideas (I suppose that's why you've subscribed my Profits.CC email newsletter, right?), I suggest you do as follows:

1. Open a Google AdWords account today.
    
2. Even if you don't own your website yet, don't worry! Plug into the Commission Junction network and into the ClickBank's marketplace today (where you'll find over 10,000 products ranked by popularity) and select a few top performers merchants. [Note: while you are with ClickBank popular merchants, please don't forget to join Profits.CC affiliate program, here].
    
3. Create a few AdWords campaigns and promote your favorite merchants, there. Start small, by placing bids between 5 and 10 cents each - no more. If such strategy doesn't generate enough traffic, concentrate your efforts on misspelled keyword phrases and synonyms.
    
4. Every day, monitor your ads' performance and optimize your ads as needed to ensure they're bringing you the best results. Don't neglect this last step - otherwise, you might get into trouble and never generate any profits.
   

Your ad will be displayed based on its Ad Rank for given searches, which is determined by a combination of your ad's maximum cost-per-click (price) and click-through rate (performance).

In this new scenario, a critical skill will be your capacity to write effective ad copy.
And now the user, when clicking at you text ad, will never know if was placed by the merchant or the affiliate...

Please remember - when you start generating online profits on a continuous basis for specific keyword phrases, that's when you'll realize it's the time to consider launching your own web site around your niche you've been able to identify so well, based on your own AdWords experiences, by trial and error.

And don't forget to keep such valuable information to yourself - don't share it with no one else! Why? Well, when you reach this (advanced) stage, you are already on the fast road to building your own powerful network of Virtual Real Estate, and along this process, creating valuable digital assets that you can always sell in a few years' time... when you decide to retire! ;-)
