Remember that movie The Karate Kid? Mr. Miyagi used to tell Daniel Laruso, "No such thing as bad student, only bad teacher. Teacher say; student do."

No kidding. Spam problems exist because of poor training newbies receive. After buying dozens of ebooks with vague and outdated techniques, overwhelmed beginners are more confused than ever.

In my experience, the best way to learn affiliate marketing is from a membership course. I never realized that the ebooks I purchased primarily focused on one technique. That’s why I was never able to understand the big picture. An affiliate marketing membership course is the most cost-effective way to learn all the skills for making money online in one place, but there’s no guarantee they’ll be any good. I’ve personally tried ten of them.

So what are the 9 criteria for choosing a good affiliate marketing course?

1. The Big Picture. A good affiliate marketing course will always teach beginners the big picture first. You can't proceed forward if you don't have a good foundation.

2. Consistency. What’s on the outside of the sales page should be on the inside. I once joined an affiliate marketing course where a feature I was interested in was nowhere to be seen inside the membership. Other things were inconsistent as well. It turned out to be a cleverly disguised scam.

3. Detailed Legitimate Methods. The affiliate marketing course can't take for granted you're a beginner. You should know the who, what, where, when, why, how and why not of the technique you're learning in order to stay compliant with the search engines to avoid spam issues.

4. Available For Questions. The instructor and his staff should be available for questions in a reasonable time frame, preferably within a day. It’s understandable that he’s busy, but he should make an attempt to answer your question. More than a week is too late.

5. A Friendly Forum. An affiliate marketing course may have a forum that allow members to interact with one another, freeing up the coach and his staff to run operations. Sometimes a peer can explain things in a way that resonates with you better. Watch the tone of the forum. If it's hostile, that’s a sign to leave. You paid good money to learn, not to be harassed.

6. The Coach Makes Money With The Skills He Teaches You. Your coach should practice what he preaches in his affiliate marketing course. Otherwise, he needs to point you in the direction of someone who does. No point in wasting your money on a hypocrite.

7. Instills Confidence In You. A good affiliate marketing course encourages instills confidence that you can perform the skills it takes to make money online. You won't be told affiliate marketing requires no work because that's simply not true. Your mindset should be focused on creating an online income in the correct manner.

8. Good Partnership. Not every coach is expert in every technique. You may be listening to a webinar where your instructor invites a traffic guru or an article marketing . that can provide you other skills that would benefit you. This demonstrates your coach's networking ability. In the future, you may end up networking for your own business. Learn from example.

9. Affiliate Marketing Course Price Is Reasonable. A corporate-run affiliate marketing course can run as high as $10,000 per year. The cost covers schedulers, administration and management teams. In my experience, they provide nowhere near the quality of an online program. An online affiliate marketing course is founded by active internet marketers and cost between $300 to $500 a year. These deliver excellent quality, and you can go at your own pace. You should never have to pay thousands of dollars to learn how to make money online.

One coach’s teaching style may resonate better with some people than others. Find the one that suits you. You owe it to yourself to get the best education for your online success.

Gina Jennings of CreativeProfiteer.net earned her first recurring income after enrolling in what she deems the best affiliate marketing course for struggling beginners. The outstanding teaching is organized and easy enough for non-tech savvy people to understand.
